Trust – Clients frequently tell us that we earn their trust by delivering on our commitments, embracing their projects with intense enthusiasm, and making proactive recommendations.

Team

David Lecours, Creative Director
David has 20 years of marketing experience. Armed with a BA in International Relations from USC, his first job was in International Marketing at Paramount Pictures. He worked as a Sales Representative for Reebok and then got promoted into Regional Marketing. After a quarter-life crisis at 25, he enrolled in art school at UCLA to study graphic design. When USC plays UCLA, he definitely roots for the Trojans. After working for Bright Strategic Design and Think New Ideas, David launched his own firm, LecoursDesign in 1995.

David uses LecoursDesign as a laboratory to discover what works in running a successful creative business. He then generously shares this knowledge through coaching, speaking and training seminars. David is married and also loves surfing, pickleball and practicing yoga in his hometown of Encinitas, California.

Approach

While every project is unique, we use a similar process to ensure your goals are met.

1. Listen
You know your business better than we do. In this phase, we’ll ask you questions like:
What makes you unique?
Why do you get hired?
Where is the firm headed?
What does a success outcome look like with regard to what we are creating?
What marketing channels are successful for you?

2. Plan
Based on what you share with us in phase 1, we develop a strategy that will drive the creative solutions. We deliver this in the form of a creative brief. A creative brief is simply a 1-page document that outlines:

3. Create
Quantity breeds quality. We come up with a lot of creative solutions in this critical phase.

4. Refine
We take the best ideas from phase 3 and refine them into some form of prototype that we  present to you with a recommendation.

5. Deliver
This is where we present the design concepts to you. You may approve them on the spot, or we may need to return to phase 4 based on your input.

6. Measure
After the project gets delivered and implemented, we examine it’s effectiveness. This means returning to the creative brief which outlined what success looks like. This measurement phase let’s us know what is working and which improvements need to be make for version 2.0.
